2) ANNUAL APTPUO MEMBERS' MEETING AND DINNER:
PLEASE ATTEND OUR ANNUAL APTPUO MEMBERS' MEETING AND DINNER -- FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25, in the "JAZZY RESTAURANT" on the Second Floor of the Unicentre, near the student cafeteria. Delicious buffet dinner served from 5:30 until 6:30pm. Meeting underway at 6:30pm. Come and meet your fellow colleagues, find out about news that affects us all, and vote in elections for members of our Board and Bargaining Committee. Closer to the date, we will be sending you an "RSVP" survey, so we will know how many members to expect for dinner. (You are an APTPUO member while you are teaching, and for two years after the end of the year of your last contract.) Please come, and encourage your colleagues to attend as well!
3) INVITATION -- PART-TIME PROFESSOR OF THE YEAR AWARD CEREMONY AND LECTURE:
Congratulations to our colleague Professor JEAN-PHILIPPE É. DAOUST, Ph.D., from the School of Psychology, who will receive his award and present a half-hour lecture entitled "For the love of students and human beings: L’enseignement de la psychologie comme élément de dépassement de soi" on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25 at 3:00pm, in the "JAZZY RESTAURANT" in the Unicentre -- same location as our Annual Members' Meeting. Please invite all your students and colleagues (including full-time profs) to attend. Refreshments will be served.
4) CHECK FOR ERRORS ON YOUR PAY SLIPS:
Thank you to one of our members who notified us of a mistake that the Payroll Department admits may affect a number of APTPUO professors. It seems that parking permit fees may have been deducted not only from your basic pay, but also, incorrectly, multiple times from your large-class supplements. If you find any errors in your pay, contact the Payroll Office directly, at (613) 562-5832. But also please report any irregularities regarding pay -- or anything else -- to the APTPUO, so we can become aware of what is happening and how many people are affected.
