18.1) COMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED:
The University has reorganized its Health and Safety Committees, and there are now six seats for professors who teach part-time. If you are interested, please send us you c.v., which you can email along with a message expressing you interest to [email protected].
18.2) APPLY FOR 2012-2013 COURSES BEFORE APRIL 1st:
You are permitted (and encouraged) to submit a "general application" for all courses for which you are qualified during the upcoming academic year. It is a good idea to do so to avoid inadvertently missing a posting if you have been applying semester by semester. Be sure to indicate the days/times you would be available. Go to this website (https://web30.uottawa.ca/v3/uohmsweb/aptpuo.aspx?lang=en), and also carefully read the part of our Collective Agreement that describes this application procedure, which is reproduced below:
Section 184.108.40.206 of the collective agreement says that:
Any person with seniority as set out in section 5.8 and who, prior to April 1st,
- had submitted an updated record of employment,
- had indicated in writing to the departmental chair, to the program director or, in faculties without departments, to the appropriate section head as indicated in APTPUO postings his/her interest in being employed in the academic unit for the following academic year, and
- at the same time had provided in writing details concerning the days and times of his/her availability to teach in the coming year shall be deemed to have applied for all the positions for which he/she is qualified in that academic unit."
3. INCOME TAX "T SLIPS":
Income tax forms are now only delivered to you electronically, and not by Canada Post. It should appear in the same account where you receive your electronic pay slips.
